ABOUT THE URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN. AND I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT FOR ALL OF US TO ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND THAT WHILE COUNCIL BLUFFS IS ABOUT 63,000 PEOPLE, WE ARE PART OF A MUCH LARGER METRO AREA OF ABOUT A MILLION PEOPLE.YOU KNOW, ON A DAILY BASIS, WE, WE TAKE IN FROM OUTSIDE OF CITY LIMITS.
WE TAKE IN 20,500 PEOPLE FROM INSIDE CITY LIMITS GOING OUT.
WE LOSE 20,000 PEOPLE ON A DAILY BASIS. ABOUT 11,000 OF US LIVE AND WORK IN COUNCIL BLUFFS.
SO, I'D LIKE TO THINK OF THIS METRO AS A LIVING ORGANISM.
WE'RE VERY MUCH CONNECTED AND JUST WANT TO BRING PEOPLE FORWARD TO CITY COUNCIL.
SO YOU CAN SEE PART OF SOME OF THOSE BIGGER PICTURE THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON IN OUR METRO.

WE'RE A UNIQUE ORGANIZATION WHERE WE ACTUALLY SERVE AS BOTH A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND A REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION THAT SERVES EIGHT COUNTIES IN OUR TWO STATE AREA, SIX COUNTIES IN NEBRASKA, TWO COUNTIES HERE IN IOWA, POTTAWATOMIE AND MILLS COUNTY.

SO WHY AN URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN? SO THE GREATER OMAHA CHAMBER WORKED WITH A NUMBER OF VARIOUS BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS BACK STARTING IN 2020 AND WORKED THROUGH ESSENTIALLY 2022 TO RELEASE WHAT IS NOW CALLED THE URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN.
THE THOUGHT WAS THAT FOR THE GREATER OMAHA REGION TO BE ABLE TO GROW IN THE FUTURE, THERE NEEDED TO BE A CONCERTED STRATEGY TO BUILD A MORE DENSE AND MORE AND MORE SUSTAINABLE AREA.
AND PART OF THAT I WILL SIMPLY SHARE IS WHAT THAT FOCUS AREA WAS.
YOU CAN SEE HERE WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THE URBAN CORE, FROM OUR PERSPECTIVE, IT STARTS ON THE WEST END ON 48TH STREET IN OMAHA AND GOES TO 35TH STREET HERE IN COUNCIL BLUFFS ON THE SOUTHERN BORDER.
IT STARTS ON LEAVENWORTH STREET AND GOES UP TO CUMMINGS STREET ON THE NORTH END IN THE OMAHA AREA.
THIS IS A FAIRLY LARGE GEOGRAPHIC AREA. WHEN WE THINK ABOUT WHAT WE WANT TO TRY TO DO TO BUILD A MORE URBAN, DENSE ENVIRONMENT IN TERMS OF OUR OVERARCHING GOAL, WHICH IS TO CREATE 30,000 JOBS AND BRING 30,000 RESIDENTS TO THIS SPACE WITHIN 20 YEARS. THAT TRULY IS THE PREMISE OF WHAT THE URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN IS.
NOW I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT A CHART REAL QUICK IN TERMS OF WHY DO WE TALK ABOUT POPULATION AND WHY IS POPULATION GROWTH IMPORTANT? PRIMARILY, YOU CAN SEE BEFORE WE GOT TO 2020, YOU COULD SEE THAT OUR POPULATION IN THE GENERAL URBAN CORE AREA WAS NOT ONLY FLAT, BUT WE SAW A DECLINE. AND ACTUALLY, THE NUMBERS I HAVE HERE ON A CHART HERE SHOWS OUR YEAR OVER YEAR AVERAGE GROWTH WAS LESS THAN HALF A PERCENT AND ACTUALLY NEGATIVE PERCENT. IT WAS -0.04% GROWTH IN THE URBAN CORE.
AND SO THAT WAS A MAJOR CONCERN IN TERMS OF DEVELOPING WHAT A REAL STRATEGIC PLAN WOULD BE IN TERMS OF HOW ARE WE GOING TO DRIVE NEW POPULATION GROWTH IN AN AREA THAT WE WANT TO HAVE BOTH CULTURAL VIBRANCY BUT ALSO VERY STRONG COMMERCE THAT WE KNOW WILL ULTIMATELY BE THE DRIVING FORCE FOR THE REGION MOVING FORWARD. THE OTHER ASPECT IS THE ECONOMIC FACTOR, WHICH IS THE URBAN CORE JOB COMPONENT.

YOU CAN SEE SIMILAR TO THE POPULATION ASPECTS, WE SAW A VERY SIMILAR COMPONENT AS WELL IN TERMS OF JOB GROWTH, THAT IT IS VERY PRETTY MUCH FLATLINED, AS YOU CAN SEE FROM 2002 ALL THE WAY TO 2020, THERE WERE SOME UPS, THERE WERE SOME DOWNS, BUT MOSTLY IT'S BEEN FLATLINED AROUND THAT 60,000 JOB NUMBER TOTAL IN THAT GEOGRAPHIC SPACE.SO FOR US ULTIMATELY TO WANT TO SEE PROGRESS IN BOTH THE OMAHA COUNCIL BLUFFS AREA.
THAT IS ESSENTIALLY HOW WE GOT TO WHAT WE CALL THE 11 BIG MOVES OF THE URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN.
IT'S ABOUT 100 AND ABOUT 111, 112 PAGES OR SO DOCUMENT THAT YOU CAN REVIEW AND KIND OF READ.
I HAVE A COUPLE SLIDES THAT I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT IN TERMS OF SOME OF THE BIG PROJECTS THAT I THINK ARE VERY RELEVANT TO YOU AND VERY RELEVANT TO, TO OUR, OUR TWO CITY PARTNERSHIP. BUT THESE 11 PROJECTS IN THEIR TOTALITY ARE INTERLINKED IN TERMS OF THE VIEW OF TRANSPORTATION, REALLY IS THE DRIVING CONNECTOR BETWEEN OUR TWO CITIES THAT FOREVER FOR US TO BE FOREVER BE ABLE TO LINK OMAHA AND COUNCIL BLUFFS TOGETHER.
WE FELT IN THIS PLAN THAT THERE NEEDED TO BE SOME MAJOR TRANSPORTATION RELATED PROJECTS THAT WOULD FOREVER BUILD A BOND, BOTH IN TERMS OF HARD INFRASTRUCTURE, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, ALSO THAT ECONOMIC INFRASTRUCTURE MOVING FORWARD.
CLEARLY, YOU'VE HEARD A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ONE OF THE MAJOR PROJECTS AND ONE OF THE INSTIGATORS, I WOULD SAY, OF THE OVERARCHING VISION OF THE URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN, BETTER KNOWN AS THE MODERN STREETCAR.
THIS PROJECT IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY, I BELIEVE. MAYOR STOTHERT AND STEVE JENSEN FROM HER OFFICE RECENTLY CAME AND SPOKE WITH YOU AND WALKED YOU THROUGH A LITTLE BIT OF AN UPDATE ON THE MODERN STREETCAR AND ITS CURRENT PROGRESS, SO I WON'T SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON TERMS OF THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT, BUT THIS IS ARGUABLY ONE OF THE INTERLINKING PROJECTS OF A NUMBER OF THE EXISTING 11 BIG MOVES.
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE OTHER TEN BIG MOVES COULD HAPPEN WITHOUT IT? SOME OF THEM EASILY COULD. BUT THIS IS TRULY, I WOULD SAY, PROBABLY THE FOUNDATIONAL PROJECT THAT BINDS A NUMBER OF THE BIG MOVES TOGETHER IN TERMS OF BOTH TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE.
BUT THE ECONOMIC AND DEVELOPMENT THAT COMES FROM A MAJOR INVESTMENT THROUGH A MODERN STREETCAR.
ONE OF THE OTHER MAJOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS THAT ARE SPURRED THROUGH THE MODERN STREETCAR IS THE FIRST DEVELOPMENT OF THE FIRST BLOCK REDEVELOPMENT, KNOWN AS THE NEW MUTUAL OF OMAHA CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS OR MUTUAL OF OMAHA TOWER.
YOU CAN CURRENTLY SEE THE TOWER GOING UP AS WE SPEAK.
IT'S EXPECTED TO BE DONE AND GIVE OR TAKE ANOTHER TWO YEARS.
IT WILL BE THE LARGEST BUILDING IN THE METRO REGION'S SKYLINE, A MIXED USE BOTH CORPORATE, RETAIL AND RESIDENTIAL UNITS. IN TERMS OF THIS BUILDING AS WELL, AS YOU CAN SEE BY THIS CHART, THERE WILL BE OTHER DEVELOPMENTS JUST EAST OF THE CORPORATE TOWER AS WELL.
THAT WILL BE PART OF THAT DEVELOPMENT. AFTER THE TOWER IS ULTIMATELY COMPLETED.
SO, IT'S PART ONE. THE DEVELOPMENT BLOCK, AS WE CALL IT, IS MORE THAN JUST THE TOWER.
THIS IS A PROJECT THAT WAS PASSED BY THE NEBRASKA LEGISLATURE BACK IN 2020.
IT'S A UNIQUE PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP THAT'S NEARLY ABOUT A $2.2 BILLION PROJECT THAT REALLY GALVANIZES BOTH PRIVATE DOLLARS, PHILANTHROPIC DOLLARS, AND NOW THE NEBRASKA LEGISLATURE AND GOVERNOR RECENTLY.
AND THE GOVERNOR'S PROPOSED BUDGET PUTS NOW STATE DOLLARS BEHIND THIS PROJECT AS WELL.
THIS IS ON THE WEST END OF THE URBAN CORE. SO, IF THERE ARE PROJECTS ALONG THE URBAN CORE RECTANGLE, THIS IS THE FAR WEST PROJECT, A PROJECT THAT'S $2.2 BILLION.
IT CREATES ANYWHERE BETWEEN 8 TO 12,000 NEW JOBS IN THIS PARTICULAR AREA.
SO WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THE 30,000 JOB NUMBER, PEOPLE GET A LITTLE A LITTLE CONCERNED IS HOW DO YOU GET TO THESE NUMBERS? IT SEEMS LIKE IT'S VERY LARGE, THIS PROJECT ALONE, BEING ONE OF THE MAJOR DRIVERS OF THAT 30,000 POPULATION AND JOBS ALONE IS ONE OF THE DRIVING ECONOMIC FORCES. WE KNOW THAT THIS IS A PROJECT THAT WILL TAKE ROUGHLY 8 TO 10 YEARS TO FULLY COMPLETE.
THERE'S POSSIBILITIES FOR FURTHER EXPANSION AS WELL.
IT LOOKS LIKE WE'VE GOT AS WELL WHEN IT COMES TO POTENTIAL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ENGAGEMENT.

ALSO, THAT WAS INITIALLY THOUGHT OF WHEN THE PROJECT FIRST CAME UP.AND SO WE WILL CONTINUE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTER AND THE STATE, THE STATE OF NEBRASKA, AS THEY CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD ON A PHASE TWO AFTER PROJECT HEALTH GETS MOVING ALONG.
THAT TAKES US TO AN EXCITING PROJECT THAT WHAT WE BELIEVE IS THE FOREVER PROJECT THAT CONNECTS OMAHA AND COUNCIL BLUFFS, WHICH IS THE MISSOURI RIVER TRANSIT BRIDGE. THE MODERN STREETCAR, AS WE SHARED EARLIER, AND MAYOR STOTHERT AND STEVE JENSEN SHARED, THIS HAS AN EXISTING ROUTE THAT GOES THROUGH MIDTOWN OMAHA AND GOES DOWN TO ESSENTIALLY THE RIVERFRONT.
AND THE WAY THAT IT ENVISIONS DOING THAT IS BY BUILDING A MULTI-MODAL.
BRIDGE ACROSS THE MISSOURI RIVER OVER FROM DOWNTOWN OMAHA INTO COUNCIL.
BLUFFS. THIS CLEARLY WOULD BE A LARGE UNDERTAKING.
A TWO CITY TWO. STATE EFFORT THAT CLEARLY WILL TAKE MULTIPLE YEARS TO BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH.
A PROJECT OF THIS MAGNITUDE. BUT THE CONCEPT AND THOUGHT, SIMILAR TO WHAT WE'VE SEEN WITH THE BOB KERREY PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE, IS THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO MOVE THE STREETCAR FROM ANYWHERE.
WE ULTIMATELY PLACE IT IN COUNCIL BLUFFS, BACK OVER TO THE FAR END AT THE END OF THE MEDICAL CENTER, WHICH IS THE FAR END OF THE STREETCAR ROUTE CURRENTLY.
PART OF THE THOUGHT OF THE MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION BRIDGE IN ONE OF THE BIG PROJECTS TIES INTO THE OTHER BIG PROJECT IN THE URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN, WHICH IS THE DODGE PARK REDEVELOPMENT. SO WHEN THIS PLAN WAS BEING DEVELOPED, IT WAS NOTICED THAT WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE URBAN CORE AREA, THERE ARE VERY FEW AREAS IN THE GEOGRAPHIC SPACE THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO SEE SIGNIFICANT REDEVELOPMENT.
ONE OF THOSE SPACES THAT ARE PART OF THE 11 BIG MOVES IS THE FORMER OMAHA CIVIC AUDITORIUM SPACE, WHICH IS CURRENTLY RIGHT NOW, IF YOU DRIVE IN DOWNTOWN OMAHA, YOU SEE IT'S A BIG GREEN OPEN LOT.
THE OTHER MOST MAJOR REDEVELOPMENT SPACE WOULD BE DODGE PARK, AND THE POTENTIAL WITH DODGE PARK WAS BEING VIEWED AS TWOFOLD ONE, NOT ONLY BECAUSE IT WOULD BE THE LARGEST POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AVAILABLE IN THE URBAN CORE, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE ABILITY TO BRING BOTH MIXED USE BUT PRIMARILY THE COMMERCIAL, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE HOUSING COMPONENT THAT WE KNOW IS VITAL TO SEE THE DENSITY AND GROWTH IN THE OVERALL REGION.
I THINK WHEN WE KNOW WHEN WE THINK ABOUT THE GREATER METRO ECONOMY, THAT WHETHER YOU LIVE IN COUNCIL BLUFFS OR WHETHER YOU LIVE IN OMAHA, AS IT TOOK ME ROUGHLY FIVE MINUTES TO DRIVE FROM MY OFFICE IN OMAHA OVER HERE TO COUNCIL BLUFFS, THE DRIVE IS NOT THAT FAR, DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU LIVE AND DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU WORK, IN TERMS OF CUTTING ACROSS THE RIVER TO GO TO BOTH OF OUR CITIES.
WE REALIZE IN DOING SOME OF THE INITIAL RESEARCH, AND THERE WAS A SUBSEQUENT STUDY IN URBAN CORE HOUSING STUDY THAT I DEFINITELY MAKE SURE BRANDON CAN GET YOU THAT REALIZE THAT THERE WAS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO BE ABLE TO DEVELOP THE URBAN CORE ULTIMATE GOAL OF 30,000 IN POPULATION WITHOUT HAVING SOME KIND OF HOUSING WORK DONE IN THE COUNCIL BLUFFS AREA AS WELL.

IF THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WE HOPEFULLY YOU CHOOSE TO DO MOVING FORWARD IN TERMS OF TAKING ADVANTAGE OF BOTH THE HOUSING OPPORTUNITY, BUT ALSO MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT WE BELIEVE IS A SIGNIFICANT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE COUNCIL BLUFFS REGION.

IT'S GOING TO BE TURNED INTO APARTMENTS AND RESIDENTIAL UNITS AWAY FROM COMMERCIAL SPACE.THE NOW FORMERLY NOW IT'S KNOWN AS THE DUO. THE CENTRAL PARK MALL COMMERCIAL SPACE USED TO BE CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS A LONG TIME AGO TO CONAGRA AND MANY OTHER BUSINESSES, HAS NOW BEEN TURNED INTO THE LARGEST RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE URBAN CORE TO THIS DATE, UNTIL POSSIBLY WHAT HAPPENS AT DODGE PARK, BOTH MARKET RATE AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND WORKFORCE HOUSING IN THAT REDEVELOPMENT OF THE DUO.
YOU CAN ALSO SEE RIGHT THERE WHAT WAS RECENTLY ANNOUNCED IS THE NEW OMAHA CHILDREN'S MUSEUM, ALONG WITH A NEW DEVELOPMENT THAT TODD, HE STARTED A NEW STYLE DEVELOPMENT IS BUILDING CONNECTING TO THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM, ANOTHER HOUSING DEVELOPMENT. ALL THREE OF THOSE MAJOR HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS BEING DONE BY IOWA'S OWN TODD AND MARY HAESTAD WITH NEW STYLE DEVELOPMENT.
THEY HAVE BEEN BIG CHAMPIONS OF THIS URBAN CORE WORK, SEEING THE OPPORTUNITY TO ONCE AGAIN TAKE EXISTING COMMERCIAL SPACE, REHAB IT, AND TURN IT INTO RESIDENTIAL SPACE, REALIZING THAT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO REALLY FOCUS ON THAT OVERARCHING PHILOSOPHY IN THE PLAN, WHICH IS TO FOCUS ON BUILDING UP AND COMPARISON TO BUILDING OUT REALLY WHAT'S NEXT.
SO WHEN WE TALK ABOUT WHAT'S NEXT WITH THE WITH THE URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN? THERE'S FIVE THINGS I SIMPLY JUST WANT TO HIGHLIGHT HERE. AND THAT REALLY IS A PRIMARY FOCUS OF PART OF THE URBAN CORE STRATEGIC PLAN IS TRYING TO DRIVE NEW TO MARKET COMPANIES, AS WELL AS EXISTING COMPANIES IN THE REGION, TO RELOCATE TO THE URBAN CORE, BECAUSE THE FOCUS IS WE KNOW THAT MORE JOBS CAN GROW AND EXPAND IN THIS SMALL GEOGRAPHIC SPACE. ANOTHER PROJECT THAT IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY THROUGH SOME OF THE WORK THAT'S BEEN DONE OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS THROUGH THE CHAMBER'S URBAN CORE COMMITTEE, IS AN ACTUAL REBRANDING OF THIS SPACE.
WHILE I USE THE TERM URBAN CORE WITH YOU, MOST PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY ASK, WHAT IS THE WORD URBAN CORE? IT'S NOT A WORD THAT YOU TYPICALLY USE A LOT WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT A SPACE.
I MAY MENTION A NEIGHBORHOOD. I MAY MENTION THE OLD MARKET; I MAY MENTION RIVER'S EDGE.

WE ENDED 2024 WITH 54 ACTIVE PROJECTS, MEANING THAT WE'RE STILL WORKING WITH THOSE 54, AND THOSE ARE IN ALL IN ALL THE THREE SECTORS THAT I MENTIONED ARE URBAN OR RURAL AND OUR ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT. WE ALSO CONDUCTED 362 PROJECT BUSINESS MEETINGS, WHICH IS A PRETTY HEFTY LIFT FOR REALLY. WE HAVE A TEAM OF FIVE, BUT REALLY, IT'S THREE OF US THAT MEET WITH THE BUSINESSES ON A REGULAR BASIS.
SO FAIRLY HEFTY LIFT, BUT REALLY GOOD WORK AND I'M PROUD OF MY TEAM FOR ACCOMPLISHING THAT.
IN ADDITION, OUR KITCHEN COUNCIL, WE ENGAGED WITH 67 PLUS FOOD ENTREPRENEURS.
WE ONBOARDED SIX NEW MEMBERS. WE HAVE A CURRENT MEMBERSHIP OF 17, A KITCHEN COUNCIL, WHICH IS A REALLY GOOD NUMBER FOR THE 3000 SQUARE FOOT COMMERCIAL SPACE THAT WE OPERATE OUT OF. WE WERE VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED A CAPACITY BUILDING GRANT FROM THE IOWA WEST FOUNDATION.
WE APPLIED IN 2024, AND WE RECEIVED THAT IN JANUARY OF 2025.
REALLY, IT'S TO ASSESS AND RESTRUCTURE THE RECRUITMENT, ONBOARDING, THE SUCCESS TRACKING ASSISTANCE, AND REALLY THE EXIT STRATEGY OF THE MEMBERS FOR A SUCCESS.
WE KNOW THAT NOT ALL OF THEM ARE GOING TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
WE ABSOLUTELY UNDERSTAND THAT. CAPITAL INVESTMENT WAS 64.5 MILLION IN INVESTMENT AND 144 NEW FULL TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS WITH VERY EXCEPTIONAL SALARY AND BENEFITS. WE SPECIFICALLY ASSISTED WITH SITE IDENTIFICATION.
BARTON SOLVENTS IS AN EXISTING FACILITY HERE ON NINTH AVENUE.
THEY HAVE PUT UP A 5000 SQUARE FOOT NEW OFFICE BUILDING.
ACTUALLY, REFERRED THE GC TO THEM THAT THEY ENDED UP HIRING TO BUILD THE BUILDING, WHICH WAS ONE OF OUR LOCAL CONSTRUCTION FIRMS. AND THEN WE DID OFFER INCENTIVES, BUT THEIR CORPORATE AT CORPORATE LEVEL, THEY DECLINE INCENTIVES.
SO WE WERE NOT ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THAT.
MR. PARK IS A CALIFORNIA BASED DEVELOPER WHO HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS NOW.
HE HAD THE SITE UNDER OPTION AT IOWA WESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
JUST EAST OF THE CAMPUS IS AN 89 ACRE SITE. HOLD ON.
I JUST DISAPPEARED THERE. HE FINALLY, AFTER UTILIZING ALL OF HIS EXTENSIONS, HE FINALLY CLOSED ON THAT PROPERTY ON JANUARY 3RD. OR HE CLOSED ON IT IN SEPTEMBER OF LAST YEAR, AND THE END USER CLOSED WITH HIM ON JANUARY 3RD OF THIS YEAR.
HOPEFULLY THE NEXT MEETING THAT I'M HERE, I CAN SHARE THE.

THEY LIKE THE SPACE THEY ENDED UP LEASING. THE SPACE ECHO WAS VERY KIND.
AND LET US COME IN AND ACTUALLY TOUR THE FACILITY WHILE THEY WERE STILL OPERATING OUT OF IT.

I THINK WE STARTED WORKING WITH THEM IN 2019.
ALL OF THE STAFF ARE PROBABLY BACK THERE ROLLING THEIR EYES RIGHT NOW.
MAYOR WALSH AND I ACTUALLY MET WITH THEM FOR LUNCH TODAY AND GOT AN UPDATE ON THE PROJECT, AND HOPEFULLY THEY'LL BE KICKING OFF PHASE TWO IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.
BUT THAT WAS ABOUT AN $11.5 MILLION INVESTMENT.
MOSTLY CONCRETE, QUITE HONESTLY, MOSTLY CONCRETE.
AND I'VE BEEN TOLD THEY'VE BEEN GOING GREAT GUNS AND DOING WELL THERE.
SO 2025, OUR PIPELINE. JUST KNOWING WHAT WE HAVE IN THE PIPELINE RIGHT NOW.

AND THE TERROR THAT IT CAUSED IN OUR FAMILY, ALL THE TRAUMA TOOK US A VERY LONG TIME TO PROCESS.
WE HAD TO GO. ALL OF US HAD TO GO TO THERAPY.
AND I HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING A CAUCASIAN PERSON.
SO I CAN ONLY IMAGINE BEING A PERSON OF COLOR, OF BEING TERRIFIED OF WHAT MIGHT BE HAPPENING.
SO, SOMETHING I'M JUST ASKING MAYBE OF YOU, MAYOR, WHEN THE PANDEMIC WAS HAPPENING AND YOU PUT OUT YOUR MINUTES WITH THE MAYOR, I FOUND THAT TO BE CALMING. AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU COULD DO SOMETHING SIMILAR IN THIS SITUATION BECAUSE OUR CITIZENS ARE GOING TO BE SCARED.
